Assessment of Environmental Effects (AEE)

An Assessment of Environmental Effects is required to accompany every application for Resource Consent and Subdivision Consent. An Assessment of Environment Effects identifies if there are any effects as a result of the proposed works, and what any mitigating or remedying factors may be for any identified adverse effects.

This Assessment of Environmental Effects product contains does not include the Certificate of Title or architectural plans and does not include lodging and managing the progress of the consent application at the Council.

This Assessment of Environment Effects product contains the following:

• A brief description of the Site and a brief description of the surrounding area
• A brief description of the proposed works
• Identification of all of the relevant rules of the District Plan and the reasons for the resource consent application. The relevant rules of the District Plan could include the maximum building coverage surface rule or the height in relation to boundary rule) and the overall status of the consent application (i.e controlled, restricted discretionary, discretionary or non-complying activity consent)
• The Assessment of Environmental Effects (AEE) required for a resource consent application – identification of all potential effects and any mitigating or remedying factors
• A brief assessment against the relevant assessment criteria
• A brief assessment against the relevant objectives and policies of the District Plan

• The Assessment of Environmental Effects report will be delivered electronically within one week of purchase
